their blinding whiteness does make me feel like a noob though..
todays run = challenging and deathly hot. but i did it!
10.5 mile run in full sun: 88 degree heat + sweltering humidity on the coast. also 6 miles of it were in a straight line.
just about died / passed out. had to walk a couple times in the last two miles to keep going. got the worst side stitch i’ve ever had in the last mile. thankfully i had my heat-acclamated running buddy, jim, there to squirt water on me and throw encouraging words at me.
mission accomplished.
after a gatorade recover, a banana, and an oreo, i am now ready for a hot shower, a movie, and thennn oodles of homework!
